Teaming Up BIG - Co-Opt
Team Up BIG - Freezer Cooking Co-Op

Team Up Co-Op is a fun way to assemble meals with many cooks. Team Up BIG is different from the original Team Up to Tackle Dinner method in that a Co-Op empowers a Team Captian. A Team Captians plans, shops, and oversees the Teaming Up event. In exchange for her efforts the Team Co-Op cooks pay for her share of the food costs. Each participant  prepares their own meat and brings it to the Team Up event. All cooks bring a cooler with ice to take home their freezer meals. Everyone wins!
Teaming Up Co-Op appeals to:
  • Those with full-time career
  • Those who hate to shop, menu plan or cook
  • Mom's who are short on time and can find childcare
  • Someone who's been Teaming Up in a small group but now...
    • has friends wanting to join the group
    • finds they can't plan or shop and would rather support a Team Captian to do the grunt work

Freezer Cooking Co-Opt for Faith Bible Church in Spokane Wa. They cook on the first Tuesday of every month. Meal orders are taken via e-mail. Each cook prepares and brings their own meat in freezer bags to the cook day along with a cooler. The group works from 9:30am-2:30pm and assembles 6-8 different recipes. They share the cost of ingredients plus the cost of the Organizer (Team Captain's) meals. The Cost of meals, excluding the meat, ranges from $5-8, depending on how many people are cooking and the type of ingredients used.
